YOU NEED THESE STATS!!!
The attached file is a FILEMAKER PLUS sample that includes both the 87
Mil Brewers, STL Cardinal, and other random players. The data is very
complete and is gathered from over 12 different sources.
I currently have the stats for both the National and American League
batters and pitchers. The categories include 500 batters and over 400
pitchers!!
The Following is a list of the categories for batters and pitchers.
Player = Player's last name
Team = The team that the player played most of the season with.
Pos = The position the player played most of the season.
BA = Batting Average. Bats = L = left-handed batter
R = right-handed batter
SW = switch hitter. VSLHP = Gives the batting average vs left-handed
pitchers.
VSRHP = Gives the batting average vs right-handed pitchers.
Grass = Gives the batting average on grass fields. Turf = Gives the batting
average on artificial fields.
SL% = Slugging percentage.
OB% = On base percentage.
Gam = Number of games played.
AB = Number of at bats. R = Runs scored.
H = Hits.
2B = Number of doubles.
3B = Number of triples.
HR = Home runs.
RBI = Runs Batted In.
GWRBI = Game Winning Runs Batted In.
SH = Sacrifice Hits.
SF = Sacrifice Flies.
SO = Strike Outs. BB =
Base on Balls. SB =
Stolen Bases.
E = Errors.
Loves to Fac = Loves to Face, what pitcher this batter does well against.
Hates to Fac = Hates to Face, what pitcher this batter does not do well
against.
PITCHERS
Player = Player's last name
Team = The team that the player played most of the season with.
Throws = Left or right handed.
W = Wins.
L= Losses.
% of Wins = The percentage of wins.
Totbf = Total batters faced during the entire season.
ERA = Earned run average.
G = Games.
CG = Complete games.
GF = Games finished.
SH = Shut outs. SV =
Saves. IP = Innings pitched.
H = Hits.
R= Runs.
ER = Earned runs.
HR = Home runs.
BB = Base on balls.
SO = Strike outs.
Loves to Fac = Loves to Face, what batter this pitcher does well against.
Hates to Fac = Hates to Face, what batter this pitcher does not do well
against.
The formats are many-- HYPERCARD, EXCEL, OVERVUE, FILEMAKER PLUS,
and even in DBF format for theIBM and DB III or DBXL and Lotus 123 . I
have both 86 and 87 seasons. With your individual data-base you can sort,
group by team, rank by batting avg or rbi's etc. etc. the possibilities are
endless. The cost $20.00 for 87,$15.00 for 86, or $30.00 for both years.
